Aussie Walkabout!

Dear Friends, I am happy to report that David and I are getting ready for another adventure!  On March 14, we leave for a five-month trip to New Zealand, Australia, and Tasmania.  It will surely be the trip of a lifetime.

We will arrive in New Zealand first and spend three weeks there before flying on to Australia.  We plan to rent a little high-top camper van in both countries so that we can travel on our own schedule.  We will take ferries to New Zealand's south island and Australia's Tasmania and Kangaroo Island.  Hopefully we will be able to photograph platypus, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, and brumbies (Australian for wild horses), just to name a few of the amazing animals that reside there.  Our wonderful Aussie friends Liz and Walter (from our 2017 trip) will meet us near Adelaide, and travel with us up the center of the continent and into the Kimberly in Western Australia.

Another piece of good news... I think I finally have my camera and computer synch issues resolved.  It was so frustrating during our last trip!  Although we have been warned that WiFi is difficult to come by, we plan to blog the trip as often as we can.

Our house sitter is ready to settle in through August.  Now we're defining everything we think we will need to take with us (and everything we can do without).  Wow!  Time is running short, but we're so excited.  We invite you to join us on our next grand adventure.
