Sorry for the delay in updates... we have had difficulty finding wifi here in Australia.
The good news is that we had a soft landing in Australia. Our friends Michael and Liz helped us out immensely. Rather than our rather rough landing in New Zealand, we breezed through immigration and customs. Mike was on the other side, waiting for us.
They were so kind. Michale took us to pick up our rental camper. He took us shopping for basic provisions and to a camper store for gear. They fed us. They let us borrow camping gear They let us wash our clothes at their place (and probably have sewer issues because of it). They let us borrow their GPS for traveling. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter entry.
Tomorrow morning we're off and on our own. What will Australia hold for us?
