Meet Ozzie!

For whatever reason, we have always named our vehicles.  The Xterra is named R-2.  We have had Stu, Eddie, Ralph, Reggie, and a number of other vehicles in the past.  Our new trailer has just been christened Ozzie.  He is, in fact, Australian... just imported to Canada!

After we picked up Ozzie yesterday afternoon, the dealership's owner graciously offered to let us camp on his lakeside property.  Here are the first photos of Ozzie.

He's rather spartan relative to others of his kind.  He has a 16-gallon water tank, a queen sized bed, a good bit of storage, and a small living area.  But he's a horse... built to go over rough terrain and four-wheeling trails.

We have returned to Dawson Creek this evening and are sitting in Ozzie during a thunderstorm.  Set up took about 20 minutes, and we have high hopes to decrease that time as we become more familiar with him.  Thankfully, we are high and dry during the storm.

It will be cool this evening.  It looks like we'll be pulling out sweatshirts in the next day or two.  Tomorrow we'll be heading up the Alaska Highway.  Whoop!
